5/52: Searching for Owls


One of my goals this year is to photograph a snowy owl. It’s one of the main reasons we make our way out to Tommy Thompson Park as much as we can – it’s said to be a hot spot for birds, especially snowy owls.

This morning we visited Tommy Thompson Park again, hoping to finally see some owls. We didn’t see a snowy owl, but we did see a pair of Northern saw-whet owls, as well as tons of trumpeter swans, ducks, mute swans, Canada geese, and chickadees! The surrounding waters were teeming with birds, and it was quite a sight to see.
