It’s the final Saturday of the year – and oh, what a year it’s been!
My goal for 2019 is to spend at least a few hours each weekend enjoying nature and photographing wildlife. (Also, I really really really really want to photograph a snowy owl!)
For those of you who have been following this blog for a while, you know how much I love being outdoors and photographing nature/wildlife. But once the weather starts getting colder, I tend to spend my weekends hiding at home in the comfort of my pyjamas and cup of hot tea. As much as I enjoy being a homebody in the winter, I’m missing out on some incredible photo opportunities! And most importantly, not being out in nature as much tends to leave me feeling mentally drained out and not as happy as I usually am. This brings me to my resolution for 2019 – get outside more, regardless of the weather!!
I decided to get a head start on my resolution, and spent the morning at the Riverwood Conservancy in Mississauga. We fed some chickadees, explored some of the trails, and watched chubby little squirrels running around the woods.
What’s your goal for 2019?
